Connecting Carers is a vital opportunity for unpaid carers to connect with one another while enjoying a bit of respite. With a variety of creative activities on offer, the sessions provide unpaid carers with a community of people experiencing similar things in their lives.

Each group and the wider Connecting Carers community is a support system that bolsters participants, reminding them that they are not alone.Connecting Carers launched in 2024, with the important goal of helping to capture the voices of unpaid carers and giving them a platform to express their wants and needs. A huge array of artistic output resulted, including visual and written works of art.

 

The participants also joined together to write ‘Who Cares?’ an anthem that sums up the experiences of so many who take care of someone else. Watch below to learn more and to hear the song.
