Tom Stupple
Programme Manager: Arts and Health and Special Project
I’ve worked in creative community arts for the past 20years – as a freelancer running music and drama workshops and in various arts management roles. Before Tanio I was a Producer for Creative Learning at Wales Millennium Centre. I’ve worked on lots of creative projects around Wales and been lucky enough to be part of many international projects too. My passion is for using arts to transform lives for the better.
Music is my main hobby – I love playing guitar. As well as that I am busy being a Dad, and enjoy a bit of DIY. And when the weather is good I love camping. So a weekend at a music festival with the sun shining is my dream.
What advice do you have for people to bringing creativity into everyday life?
- Make something – even just a mark on the paper. If you hear some music dance – if you feel something write it down!
- It’s never too late to learn
- Try and step outside your comfort zone – that is where all the exciting things happen.
There are already plenty of critics in the world, so try not be one and enjoy whatever you make and support what other people create
What is your number one self-care tip?
Sleep is not your enemy! If you are not feeling great sometime the best thing is just to get an early night. It’s advice I have to give myself as I’m terrible at it! |
